Emily Noronha

Postpartum Doula

When Emily was younger, she had an innate curiosity for new life. Emily grew up learning that listening with an open heart allowed people the opportunity to tell their story. Her curiosity for life pushed her to explore life beyond Canada and to explore the multicultural nooks and crannies of different continents.

From the time Emily arrived earth side out of her mother’s womb, she has had a passion for connection, compassion and vulnerability. From the modelled pelvis Emily first saw at a job fair in high school, to the incredible midwife who shone the light towards this incredible profession, the path that led her to becoming a doula was written long before she knew where she would end up.

Emily has the ability to help people find their power through education, changing the postpartum period to be one of confidence and success.

After having become a registered holistic nutritionist, completing the DONA birth certification course, the Motherwit Postpartum Doula training and a twenty hour breastfeeding course through Douglas College, she feels confident in her abilities to offer the necessary support to new families.

Katherine Blanco

Birth and Postpartum Doula

Katherine is called to serve women and families during their childbearing years. She is an avid believer in meeting her clients wherever they are in their reproductive journey. While she has been enthralled with childbirth since her first pregnancy, fifteen years ago, Katherine has more recently developed a strong pull towards all aspects of reproductive health including preconception, early postpartum care, and end of pregnancy support.

Along with completing many different perinatal related courses, Katherine completed the Birth Doula training with Doula Canada and is a certified doula with Wise Woman Way of Birth. Always on the pursuit for more knowledge, Katherine is currently enrolled in a two year Holistic Reproductive Practitioner program with Michelle Stroud of By The Moon. Not only is she cross-certifying as a birth doula and certifying as a postpartum doula through this two year program, she is also working toward certifications in both reflexology and energy healing with a focus on reproductive wellness.

In her downtime, you can find her preparing yummy meals for her three kids, on a trail with her dogs, stretching on her yoga mat, or curled up on the couch with her latest read next to her husband.
