Our Story

Stages Doula and Photography is a group of dedicated and super fun professionals, who provide a humorous and knowledgeable atmosphere in birth and early parenthood. We work in teams to provide comprehensive care across the Lower Mainland.

Our promise is to always have someone who is available to answer your questions, be at your side during the birthing process, assist with postpartum care, make you laugh, and capture your most treasured moments.

For the past seven years, Candice Tizzard has been working as a doula, serving families during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. She has been capturing childbirth and other special moments as a professional photographer for over five years. With the growing demand of birth services, perinatal support, and quality photography, she built a team of skilled, like-minded individuals. Candice sought out professionals that mirrored her own values, beliefs, nurturing care and personality. Finally, she no longer has to run all over Greater Vancouver, ensuring her clients get the top notch care and attention they deserve.

Candice is confident that no matter who you are paired with, you will be receiving thoughtful and comprehensive care by a qualified and enthusiastic birth professional.

How We Work

We provide birth photography and videography, birth support, end of pregnancy and loss support, and postpartum care. Each of our team members has a different set of additional skills such as, holistic nutrition, sleep education, fertility support, loss support, prenatal yoga, meditation, and breastfeeding counselling. These various skill sets enable us to uniquely meet all your needs in preconception, conception, childbirth and the postpartum period.

Based on your location and your individual needs, we will pair you with a primary doula that will be responsible for your care and support during your pregnancy, childbirth, and the early postpartum period. Your doula will have have a reliable and committed secondary doula in place, who you will also have the opportunity to get to know.
