Kelsey Mizener

Kelsey is a superwoman specializing in: birth and postpartum support, infant feeding, newborn care, sibling support, cloth diapering, baby wearing, placenta prints and newborn and postpartum massage.

In 2001 after the arrival of her first baby, Kelsey began work with birthing families. At the time she didn’t even know what a “Doula” was! She just fell in love with this amazing and surreal transition, showing up for friends and family every chance she got! Kelsey brings a warm and grounding personality to the birthing experience. She is passionate about helping every mother discover their innate strength;  equipping them with confidence, unwavering strength, and self recognition during the birthing journey.

When not tending to Doula families, she spends time with her three teenagers and walks her fur baby on the local trails. She enjoys spending time baking and cooking, tweaking her recipes for clients and taking drives- exploring roads less traveled. Kelsey enjoys taking part in all of the amazing learning and friendship opportunities with our local Doula groups, travelling the world, one step at a time, playing cards and being a Doula Dino with Candice

Always on the pursuit for more knowledge, Katherine is currently enrolled in a two year Holistic Reproductive Practitioner program with Michelle Stroud of By The Moon. In her downtime, you can find her preparing yummy meals for her three kids, on a trail with her dogs, stretching on her yoga mat, or curled up on the couch with her latest read next to her husband.

 Birth and Postpartum Doula

Justine Jandu

Justine believes birth is sacred, intimate and should be a powerful, positive and a peaceful experience. She is passionate about supporting families in feeling prepared for birth and becoming new parents. She advocates for families making informed decisions and her goal is to help them feel confident in their abilities by empowering them through education and fear clearing.

Justine became interested in becoming a Doula after being present for the birth of her first niece. She witnessed an 18 hour unmedicated birth and marveled at her sister's ability to harness her own strength, go deep within herself and her persistence in birthing how she chose! After everything was done and baby was nestled in mom's arms, the midwife asked Justine if she had ever considered being a Doula and commented on her calm demeanor, assistance in both encouraging and comforting her sister... Justine then realized her calling.

When Justine is not supporting families she enjoys being outdoors, reading, yoga, meditation and anything to do with wellness! She is training to become a Reiki practitioner, and aspires to become a prenatal and postpartum Yoga teacher in the future.

Justine is a superwoman specializing in: hypnobirthing and infant massage.

We had such a wonderful experience with Candice from Stages doula. I didn’t have a doula for my first birth experience and there were a lot of things that I wished had gone differently that made my recovery much more difficult than it could have been. I didn’t expect things to go exactly according to a “birth plan” this time because there are reasons that can’t always happen.

Candice really took the time and energy to really get to know me and what my wants were when it came to my labour and delivery experience. Any time I had a question or concern she was so helpful. She was comforting, supportive, encouraging... everything you would want in a doula.

Candice was there for me as I laboured at home and had she not been there I know I would have been at the hospital much earlier and I would have had a much harder time sticking with my birth plan. She helped keep my husband and I at ease and helped coach us through the whole process. They advocated for me when there were things I wasn’t comfortable with. My recovery was soooo much better this time because I didn’t have the complications that resulted from the epidural last time. I was able to labour and deliver without an epidural which was important to me this time. After my baby safely arrived, I kept saying out loud, "We did it.. we did it.." and along with my baby, my husband and Candice were part of that "we". My experience would not have been the same at all without her.

I couldn’t recommend Stages Doula enough. They were a game changer for us!
